City of Darlington to Welcome NASCAR with Haulerfest on Public Square

DARLINGTON, S.C. (Aug. 22, 2025) – The City of Darlington will celebrate Darlington Raceway’s NASCAR Playoffs weekend on Thursday, Aug. 28, with Haulerfest from 6 – 9 p.m. on the Public Square.

For the second consecutive year, NASCAR Cup Series car haulers will be greeted by residents and visitors in downtown Darlington during Haulerfest. Once the chariots of NASCAR’s premier series pass through the Public Square, Andy & Oneida will hit the stage with their sensational nine-piece show band with electrifying horns. The dynamic duo will have attendees dancing all evening long.

“NASCAR is what Darlington is known for all around the world,” said City of Darlington Public & Community Affairs Director, Hunter Thomas. “It’s always an exciting time when the car haulers make their way through town, and it’s such a spectacle for the community. The City is incredibly thankful for NASCAR and Darlington Raceway. Andy & Oneida will once again perform, and they always put on an energetic show. There will be many activities for kids as well.”

Haas Factory Team’s Cole Custer, who pilots the No. 41 Ford Mustang Dark Horse in the NASCAR Cup Series, will stop by Haulerfest between 7 and 8 p.m. to sign autographs and participate in a Q&A on stage. Custer will be making his ninth-career series start at Darlington Raceway. Custer is a 2019 Darlington winner in the NASCAR Xfinity Series at the track, Too Tough To Tame.

Food trucks, vendors and regional race cars are slated to line the streets. The Exchange St. section of the Public Square will be filled with inflatables for kids to play on. Darlington High School’s Girl’s Varsity and JV basketball teams will also be on-site offering face painting and games.

The fun starts earlier in the day at Florence-Darlington Technical College with the “Hauler Showcase,” from 4-6 p.m. where fans can get an up-close look at the massive, colorful NASCAR Cup Series haulers that transport the stock cars that will compete in Sunday’s Cook Out Southern 500 at Darlington Raceway. The hauler drivers will also be on hand to talk to fans and answer questions. Upon completion at 6, the haulers will make their way to downtown Darlington, passing through Hauler Fest, on their way to the track Too Tough To Tame. Custer will also be on hand at the Hauler Showcase.
