COVID-19 RESPONSE

All City Council meetings will be open to the public effective immediately.

Masks and social distancing will still be recommended, so only a limited number of people will be allowed in council chambers. Priority will be given to those listed on the agenda, members of the media, staff, and those who call to register to speak before council by noon Monday prior to the meeting.

Submit comments to council by noon Monday prior to the meeting to be read aloud during the meeting to rock@cityofdarlington.com or by mail anytime to City of Darlington Planning, P.O. Box 57, Darlington, SC 29540. Please include your name and daytime phone number for verification. No anonymous comments will be read. Individuals who wish to appear before council may also call 843-398-4000 or 843-992-1561 to register to speak at the meeting.

Due to COVID restrictions and limited capacity, the public is invited to watch the meeting live at http://www.facebook.com/DarlingtonSC/live. You can find the agenda posted online by noon Monday prior to the meeting at https://www.cityofdarlington.com/city-council-agendas…/.

Darlington City Hall will reopen to the public at a limited capacity starting Thursday, May 6.

Hours of operation remain 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

>Individuals may only enter through the front door of City Hall, 400 Pearl St.

>Individuals must wear a mask.

>Individuals must maintain social distancing of six (6) feet from others.

>A maximum of three (3) people will be allowed in the reception area at any one time. Others must wait outside.

>Restrooms will not be open to the public.

**Individuals are still encouraged to do as much business by telephone and email as possible. Below are the numbers to call for specific questions.

>>You may still pay your utility bill or traffic citation online here. City staff will disinfect public areas more frequently and have hand sanitizer available in public buildings.

Darlington County Courthouse has reopened with limited capacity. Masks and social distancing required. Those not wearing masks will be served in the lobby. Please call (843) 398-4100 to schedule an appointment.

Individuals are encouraged to do all business by phone or email during the COVID-19 outbreak.

City staff will be available by phone and email, and essential services will not be interrupted.

City offices are open at limited capacity or by appointment.

We encourage everyone to take standard precautions to stop the spread of illness:

Vaccines for Veterans

Enrolled Veterans of all ages can receive the COVID-19 vaccine through the VA. Appointments are available this week in Hinesville, Savannah, Myrtle Beach and North Charleston. Call 843-789-6900 to schedule your appointment.
