Darlington City Council Recognizes Local Vocalist K. Jeanette

Local vocalist, K. Jeanette was recently recognized by Darlington City Council for her musical achievements. Councilwoman Shelia Baccus presented the proclamation to K. Jeanette in April.

K. Jeanette has been singing since she was 5-years-old, and throughout her career as a professional vocalist, she has shared her divine gift with everyone close to home and around the world.

In November 2024, K. Jeanette released the song “Shine”, which was a tribute to her mother who served as an inspiration. She affectionately remembered her mother singing an old hymn named “Shine on me”, which led to the creation of her 2024 hit song. The song broke through the Top 200 on the Billboard Chart and the Top 100 on the Media Base Chart.
