City of Darlington – City Hall Holiday Schedule
The City of Darlington will be closed Friday December 23, Monday December 26, Tuesday December 27 and Monday January 2.

Christmas Trash Collection Holiday Schedule
Garbage will run 12/22/22 – 12/23/22 regular route. Pickups for Monday & Tuesday after Christmas is scheduled for 12/27/22.
Yard debris will not run during these holiday times.
Recycling will not run on 12/23/22. Due to the holiday, recycling pickup will be 12/28/22.

City of Darlington Fire Department Toy Drive
Accepting Applications through November
Each year, the Toy Drive provides Christmas to around 100 children in our fire district. The application process is underway for families interested in applying for the program. To qualify, the family must live in our fire district, along with other eligibility standards.
Last year, the Darlington Fire Department was able to help over 75 local children and had the capacity to send toys to Tennessee for the families who suffered losses from the wild fires.
If you are interested in donating to the fund, you may mail a check to:

As always, any amount of financial support your organization would be able to furnish would be greatly appreciated.
To apply to the Toy Drive, you may visit the Darlington Fire Department to obtain an application.

Darlington Raceway Track Laps for Charity

Spin around the track in your own vehicle! Come out to the Darlington Raceway on November 19, 2022 from 11 AM – 2 PM.
For just $20 or an unwrapped new toy, you can take 3 laps around the egg-shaped track!
This Track Laps for Charity benefits Toys for Tots.

Darlington Rescue Squad Christmas Parade
December 3, 2022 @ 4 PM
The annual Darlington Rescue Squad Christmas Parade will be held Saturday, December 3, 2022 at 4 PM. The line up for the parade will be at Fitness World at 1032 Pearl Street starting at 2 PM. The route will end at the intersection of Spain Street & Cashua Street.

40th Annual Carol Lighting
December 4, 2022 @ 5 PM
The annual Darlington Tree Lighting Ceremony, sponsored by the Darlington Kiwanis, will take place December 4, 2022 at 5 PM at the Darlington Square.
Come on down to the square as we keep the weekend going with Christmas festivities in the City of Darlington!
Rev. Will Altman, Pastor of Trinity United Methodist Church, will provide the invocation. The Darlington Presbyterian bell choir, conducted by Dr. Teresa Irwin, will perform Christmas selections. Police Chief Kelvin Washington will deliver a special Christmas message followed by remarks from Darlington’s Mayor, Curtis Boyd, who will operate the switch to illuminate Darlington’s official Christmas tree.
