Halloween Activities

Darlington City Council encourages all to attend the FREE Fright Fest downtown on Halloween, from 2 to 7:30 p.m., in lieu of trick-or-treating. While Council did not ban the practice, it suggested an earlier time frame of 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Christmas Toy Drive

City of Darlington Police & Fire Departments are teaming up to bring a sparkle of Christmas joy to children in our community. We are asking for financial support from businesses in our area, to help this worthy cause. Families wishing to apply may find information here.

City Council meets Tuesday, Aug. 11

Darlington City Council will hold its regular monthly meeting at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 11, at Harmon Baldwin Recreation Center. Masks are required and occupancy is limited. You may access the meeting on Facebook Live.

Update on Tropical Storm Isaias

This Update on Tropical Storm Isaias was last updated August 3, 2020, at 11 a.m. Citizens are advised to stay off the roads during the storm and its aftermath. Do NOT venture out if you don’t have to do so.

Darlington holds Free Movie Night

The Darlington Area Recreation will host a FREE movie night at Virgil Wells Stadium, 100 Magnolia St., on Friday, August 7. The gate will open at 7 p.m. for entry, show starts at 8:15 p.m. Reserve your spot today!

Darlington City Council will hold a special meeting at 6 p.m. Tuesday, July 21, at Harmon Baldwin Recreation Center, for an executive session regarding a Police Department, City Council, & Personnel matter.
