PUBLIC HEARING SEEKING PUBLIC INPUT

NOTICE OF COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT
NEEDS ASSESSMENT PUBLIC HEARING 

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on Friday, February 12, 2021, at 2:00 PM, the City of Darlington will hold a public hearing at the City Administration Building, 410 Pearl Street, Darlington, SC 29532, to solicit public input on community needs and priorities for housing, public facilities, and economic development.

At this public hearing, the city will provide the results of its needs assessment and the activities which might be undertaken to meet identified needs, including the estimated amount proposed to be used for activities that will benefit persons of low and moderate-income. With consideration for COVID-19 recommendations, information is also available by phone at 843-702-3139.

This public hearing and the matters to be discussed are subject to the provisions of the City of Darlington’s Citizen Participation Plan, developed in anticipation of participation in the State of South Carolina’s Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program, providing for the participation of the citizens of the City of Darlington in the planning and implementation of community and economic development projects which will involve CDBG funds.

The Citizen Participation Plan is available for review at the City between 9:00 and 5:00 weekdays.
