SPLASH PAD PROJECT – DARLINGTON, SC

The City of Darlington Parks and Recreation Department is requesting proposals for a building addition for the Splash Pad Control Room.
The new Splash Pad project is an exciting new addition for our kids in the City of Darlington and surrounding areas.

BID DUE DATE: AUGUST 31, 2023 @ 5 P.M.

Please find below the requirements requested to complete this project.

Contractor shall be responsible for the following:

• Ensure that all work is performed to the current and local code adoption and ordinances.(IBC 2021)
• Will furnish The City with a Detailed Sketch and Material Schedule for the project and have it approved
  by The City, before any work will begin.
• Furnish all labor, equipment, materials, supervision, insurance, etc.
• Building addition will need a footer poured to Current adopted code
• Building will need to have a minimum of a 4” concrete floor consisting of #3000 PSI concrete with
  reinforcement either by fiber or wire material.
• Building addition is to be 12’ x 20’ with 8’ walls
• Building addition is to match up to existing building that addition will be attached to.
• Addition will need to be constructed of 8”x8”x16” CMU’s
• Existing exterior wall, which will become an interior wall between the existing building and addition will
  need to be removed and addition be tied in to be aesthetically pleasing.
• Building will need to have basic electrical to meet current code adoption to include lights and receptacles.
• Entire exterior of building will need to be painted.
• Building will need 1- 3/0 exterior steel constructed door w/lockset.
• Building will need a 4’ x 4’ concrete pad at exterior door.
• Interior ceilings will need to be finished with sheetrock and painted.
• All exterior Boxing will need to be completely finished to match existing building.
