SC-34 BRIDGE REPAIR

SCDOT SC-34 BRIDGE REPAIR OVER SWIFT CREEK DETOUR IMPACTS
REPAIRS AND DETOUR TO BEGIN OCTOBER 9, 2023 & TAKE AN EXPECTED (3) MONTHS TO COMPLETE
The SC Department of Transportation will be performing repairs to the SC-34 Bridge over Swift Creek.
The bridge has areas that require extensive repairs that can only be completed without traffic loads.
Due to this requirement, and in order to minimize the rehabilitation duration, cost and impact to commuters and property owners in the area, the bridge will be closed during the repair.
All traffic will be detoured along the detour route using: Pocket Road, South Charleston Road, East McIver Road, and South Main Street.
The bridge closure and detour is tentatively scheduled to begin on October 9, 2023 and is expected to take at least three months to complete.
We will continue to update you on the progress of the repairs and if any delays are expected.
